The Hesseling Precision P-Can 22 is designed to make suppressed .22 rimfire shooting lighter, simpler, and more accessible. It is intended for normal recreational, sporting, training, and range use with compatible 1/2-28 threaded rimfire hosts.
Suppressors reduce firearm sound, but they do not make firearms silent. Sound performance varies based on host firearms, barrel length, ammunition, environment, and firing conditions.

Do not use a damaged suppressor. If damage, cracking, deformation, loosening, projectile contact, abnormal sound, or any unsafe condition is suspected, stop using the suppressor immediately and contact Hesseling Precision.
3. Lawful Use and Possession
Your Hesseling Precision suppressor is a regulated item under the National Firearms Act and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Suppressors may not be lawful to own, possess, transport, transfer, or use in all jurisdictions.
Hesseling Precision makes no representation, warranty, promise, or legal determination concerning your ability to lawfully purchase, possess, transport, transfer, or use this suppressor in any jurisdiction. It is the owner’s responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
If you have questions about lawful ownership, possession, transport, transfer, or use of your suppressor, consult qualified legal counsel, your local law enforcement agency, or the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives before proceeding.
Always maintain a copy of your approved ATF registration/transfer documents with or readily accessible to the suppressor whenever transporting or using it. Failure to produce documentation when requested by appropriate authorities may result in delay, confusion, seizure, investigation, or other legal consequences.
Do not possess, transport, transfer, or use this suppressor in any manner prohibited by law.

Recommended ammunition types include:
High-velocity ammunition may produce increased sound, more noticeable first-round pop (FRP), increased heat, and greater stress on the suppressor. The P-Can 22 is not designed for high- and ultra-high velocity ammunition. Use these at your own risk and excluded from warranty coverage.
The P-Can 22 is not rated for 5.7×28, 17 HMR, and 22 WMR (Magnum). Use at your own rish and exluded from warranty coverage. Do not use any centerfire cartridges, centerfire rifle cartridges, or any cartridge not specifically approved by Hesseling Precision.

The P-Can 22 is not designed or rated for abusive firing schedules.

6. Before Installation
Before installing the suppressor ensure the firearm is unloaded:

Do not attempt to remove a hot suppressor with bare hands.
9. Bore Alignment Check
Before firing, verify that the suppressor is properly aligned with the bore.
A misaligned suppressor can cause projectile contact, suppressor damage, firearm damage, or injury.
Check alignment:
If alignment cannot be confirmed, do not fire the firearm with the suppressor installed. Seek the assistance of a competent gunsmith familiar with suppressor alignment.

Suppressors can become hot during firing and may cause burns.
11. Firing Schedule Guidance
The P-Can 22 is designed for normal semi-automatic and bolt-action rimfire use.
It is not designed for full-auto fire, forced-reset triggers, binary triggers, repeated magazine dumps, or high sustained rates of fire.
General Rule of Thumb: If the suppressor's polymer body gets close to being too hot to touch, then stop use until it cools to ambient air temperature.
After extended firing strings, allow the suppressor to cool before continued use. If the suppressor becomes hot, emits unusual odor, shows discoloration, softening, deformation, cracking, or any other abnormal condition, stop using it immediately.
When in doubt, let the suppressor cool and inspect it before continuing.
12. Sound Performance Notice
Internal comparative testing showed substantial sound reduction versus unsuppressed control shots under tested conditions.
Sound performance varies based on:
Subsonic, standard-velocity, suppressor-specific, and quiet-style .22 LR ammunition will generally produce the mildest sound signature.
Supersonic ammunition may still produce an audible ballistic crack even when used with a suppressor.
The P-Can 22 is not marketed as silent and is not represented as universally hearing safe under all conditions. Hearing protection may still be required.
13. First-Round Pop
First-round pop may vary depending on firearm, barrel length, ammunition, and environmental conditions.
During internal testing, no noticeable first-round pop was observed. More noticeable first-round pop may occur on pistol-length barrels or with certain ammunition.
This is normal for many suppressed firearm systems and does not necessarily indicate a defect.
14. Point of Impact
A suppressor may affect point of impact depending on host firearm, ammunition, installation, and shooter conditions.
During internal testing, no notable point-of-impact shift was observed under the tested conditions. However, every firearm and ammunition combination should be verified by the user.
Always confirm zero and point of impact before relying on the firearm for any intended use.

16. Cleaning and Maintenance Overview
Cleaning frequency depends on ammunition type, host firearm, firing schedule, environmental conditions, and user preference. Because .22 rimfire ammunition can vary significantly in fouling, Hesseling Precision does not require cleaning at a fixed round count.
As a general preventative practice, users may perform a light cleaning after approximately 500–1,000 rounds, or sooner if excessive fouling, debris, unusual odor, reduced performance, visible buildup, difficulty mounting/removing the suppressor, or any abnormal condition is observed.
During internal validation, each test suppressor endured a minimum of 1,000 rounds without failure. Even so, regular inspection is recommended.
Use only cleaning methods approved by Hesseling Precision. Allow the suppressor to dry completely before firing.
17. Approved Cleaning Methods
Approved cleaning guidance should be based only on methods validated by Hesseling Precision.

Water-Only Ultrasonic Cleaning
Water-only ultrasonic cleaning may be used under the following approved conditions:
Warm Water and Mild Dish Detergent
Warm water with mild dish detergent may provide an optimal level of cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before use. Soak for up to 24-48 hours. DO NOT use boiling water!
This method may be less effective than water-only heated ultrasonic cleaning.
18. Cleaning Methods and Chemicals to Avoid
Do not use cleaning chemicals or solvents unless specifically approved by Hesseling Precision.
Do not use:
Some cleaning products may damage, soften, craze, crack, swell, weaken, or otherwise degrade polycarbonate.
Do not soak the suppressor in any cleaning solution unless the method is specifically approved by Hesseling Precision. When in doubt, contact us for guidance.
19. Storage and Transport
Before storage:
Suppressors are regulated items. Follow all federal, state, and local laws regarding possession, transport, transfer, storage, and use.
20. Prohibited Modifications
Do not modify the suppressor.
Prohibited modifications include, but are not limited to:
Unauthorized modification may be unlawful or may create a serious safety hazard. Modifications may void the manufacture’s warranty.
21. Polymer Body Service Program
The P-Can 22 includes a serialized aluminum adapter and a polymer body section. The serialized aluminum adapter remains the registered serialized component of the suppressor.
If the polymer body section is damaged, worn, or otherwise requires service, the complete suppressor must be returned to Hesseling Precision for inspection. Hesseling Precision is the only authorized agent to install or replace loose polymer body sections.
Do not attempt to remove, replace, repair, modify, drill, sand, ream, aesthetically change, or alter the polymer body section.
If Hesseling Precision determines that the issue is covered by warranty, the polymer body section may be replaced at no charge.
If Hesseling Precision determines that the issue is not covered by warranty, a paid non-warranty polymer body replacement is available for a service fee, provided the serialized aluminum adapter remains serviceable and the suppressor is otherwise eligible for repair.
Hesseling Precision reserves the right to refuse service on suppressors that are unsafe, unlawfully modified, improperly transferred, abandoned, repeatedly misused, or otherwise ineligible for repair.
22. Limited Defect Warranty
Hesseling Precision stands behind the P-Can 22 when it is used as intended and maintained according to this Owner’s Manual.
The P-Can 22 is covered by a limited defect warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal approved use. If Hesseling Precision determines, in its sole discretion, that a P-Can 22 has a covered manufacturing defect, Hesseling Precision may repair, service, or replace the suppressor or affected component at no charge to the customer.
This warranty applies only to suppressors manufactured by Hesseling Precision.
No Other Warranties
Except for the limited warranty expressly stated herein, the product is provided without any further express or implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Hesseling Precision disclaims any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimers are prohibited by law.
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of certain damages, so some limitations may not apply.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not apply to damage, failure, or unsafe conditions caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, improper maintenance, unauthorized modification, or use outside the intended purpose of the product.
Conditions not covered by this warranty include, but are not limited to:

Do not ship any suppressor for repair or inspection without prior authorization from Hesseling Precision. Do not ship a suppressor without including any documentation requested by Hesseling Precision, including a copy of the approved ATF form if requested.

24. Replacement Suppressor Option
If a suppressor is not eligible for repair or service, Hesseling Precision may, at its sole discretion, offer the customer the opportunity to purchase a replacement suppressor at a substantially reduced price.
Any replacement suppressor, if offered, will be subject to applicable law, availability, current pricing, transfer requirements, tax stamp requirements, dealer fees, and required ATF approval.
